*Domestic or household robots – are basically robots used for household chores.
*Mobile robots – are robots that can move around in their environment and are not stemmed to one location. An example of a mobile robot that is the automatic guided vehicle.
*Service robots- are robots that operate half- or fully automatically to perform tasks useful to the humans and equipment.
*Military robots - are automatic robots or remote-controlled robots designed for military purposes.
*Modular robots – are a new type of robots that are designed to increase the use of the robots by modularizing the robots.
* Humanoid robots – are Robot that had their appearance generally based on a human appearance. It responds to its environments and tools that are meant for humans.
*General-purpose autonomous robots – are robots that can perform different functions independently.
*Educational robots – that are at school have three main applications, Robotic kits, Virtual tutors, and teacher's assistants.
*Reading robot – is a literate or 'reading robot' called Marge and she has intelligence that comes from software.
