Rodney Brooks talks about Robots on TED. He says that he cannot imagine the world not populated with Robots in about 500 years. Then he shows some examples about Robots like a Robot cleaner and Robotic Toys and tests the Robot cleaner. He also shows us how Robots are used in Organizations or for Military use and how useful they have been. After showing us more videos of Robots that change face expressions or look like they have feelings, he starts going through how we will use our Robots in the future and how to Interact with Robots, like:- Visual attention, Emotional space, Attention Bids, Prohibition, and Communication. Then he says if we start developing Robots, will they ask for respect as the years pass? Will they want to take-over? And if they do, will we respect them? He then asks if we should respect them as they are just machines, but then he says “Scientifically we are just machines” and how Mankind had to retreat from the idea of specialness years ago when we found out there are more similar or special things on this earth that ourselves. He finishes off by saying “The Robots are coming.”
